Lean practitioners know that there are a few ways of doing 5S, but there is only one right way and that is doing it on a regular basis.
In other words, once you have established sort, shine and set, you have to standardize and, more importantly, sustain it!

If you practice 5S on your blog, it would mean that you accurately categorize your post and assign tags to it whenever you write a new one.
You would also take time to check the links on your blog to ensure they are up to date and you would remove them should they become obsolete.
And that’s what I just did.
There were many links on my blog and I didn’t actually visit all of them.
I removed those that are obsolete and those that I no longer visit.
I keep only what’s needed.

Speaking of which, do we need to 5S our lives?
Do we 5S our lives so as to remove the unneeded?
For example, are things like memories of the past, stuff from ex-lovers, souvenirs, etc. still essential for us?
It’s undeniable that they were part of what molded us into who we are today, but do we still need them to keep moving on?
I guess it depends on individuals.
Maybe if there’s space, there’s no harm keeping them.

As for myself, I simply love keeping old stuff.
