My Never-never Land

Is it the path leading to my never-never land? It looks gloomy…

might be mundane, but that’s what I had been up to

I wanted to keep you all posted on what I had been doing in the past few days, but I had been pretty tied up.
It’s Monday night, I finally have the time to write this post at leisure.

I can’t thank Chris enough for telling me about the Borders’s beverage coupon.
It was a coupon for a 12-oz. beverage at Seattle’s Best Coffee, which is located inside Borders.
The coupon would be expired after 25th of June, but tt soon found out that Borders gave out beverage coupons every week.
Which means? Boy, free coffee every week!
I went to Borders thrice last week. Each time I added an extra espresso shot to my drink. (No charge on extra espresso and syrup.)
If I’d had to pay, it would have cost me at least 4 dollars.
Coffee tastes extraordinarily good when it is free, don’t you think so, too?
Chris, tt, thank you!

I have been playing Big Two a lot recently.
When I say a lot, I really mean it.
After dinner at Capella’s, Big Two.
During BBQ at Brookside Park, Big Two.
After BBQ, Big Two.
After dinner at New China, Big Two.
After movie and dinner, Big Two.
While cooking at Capella’s, Big Two.
I am sure there will be more Big Two sessions coming this week and the following, perhaps till the semester begins.
Big Two is my favorite card game. If it weren’t, I wouldn’t have played it so often.

As you can tell from the above paragraph, I had a barbeque the other day.
Five of us, namely me, tt, Capella, Sean, and Roy, played Big Two when we had placed our food on the grill.
It lasted for 4 hours with most of the time being allocated to the card game.
I ain’t sure if it was a card game outing or a barbeque.
Anyway, it was pretty fun. It would have been more fun if there weren’t bugs hovering above our food and caterpillars occasionally falling off the tree.
I have learned a couple of lessons for any future barbeques from this one:
1. Check the grill you are going to use so as to make sure the metal frame can be laid down horizontally. You don’t want to build some kind of a dam to prevent melted butter or oil from flowing down to the charcoal.
2. Don’t sit under a tree. You don’t want to have a caterpillar flailing on your shirt, or worse, on any part of your body.
3. Leave before it gets dark. You don’t want to get yourself a bunch of mosquitoes unless you enjoy being bit by them. Damn masochist!

There was much hype about Transformers 2 in cyberspace last week, but the hype seems to have dwindled now (at least it ain’t on the list of trending topics on Twitter anymore).
Nevertheless, I still want to allot some time to commenting on the blockbuster.
Despite the many negative reviews from critics and moviegoers, I stuck with the plan I made weeks ago that I would go watch it.
Just to keep it short, if you like bots and bods, this is a movie that you must not miss.
Otherwise, it’s a movie that didn’t seem to deserve that much of hoopla that it got over the past few weeks.
Just my personal opinion, of course.
By the way, I think the clothes that the foxy Megan Fox wore in the movie can’t be called skimpy by any measure.
I don’t understand why some people called it a Megan Fox’s soft-core porn.
Perhaps they were good at using the method of imagination.

Guess this is enough for this post. Will try to write more in July.
Ciao!

Can you please remove my name (or nick name it or watever) from your blogroll? I am trying to stop public searches to reach my blog bcoz I am posting a lot of things on my blog which I dun want random ppl to read it, only to my friends of course :D. Or maybe you can have your blog protected from public searches as well? I have tried to password protect my blog but it will then only allow wordpress users to be invited….

Sorry to trouble you but I hope you can do me this favor. Thanks!
