Ok, my car was damaged because of the deer/accident.
Unavoidably, I’ve got to take some money out of my pocket to fix it. The question is how much.
I took my car to a body shop that was voted Best Body Shop in Story County for a couple of years.
The guy in the body shop estimated a price of $2500 to fix all the damage on my car if new parts are used.
$2500!!!
OMG, I got my car for a price of $3400 only, now you want me to take $2500 out to fix it?
Are you kidding me?
Why don’t I just get another car with that money?
And then, this guy tried to get me some used parts instead of using all brand new ones, and it turned out that I still need to pay a price of $2000.
$2000!!!
I guess I will just go ahead and change the windshield only, which will still cost me a fair amount of money.
My car ain’t gonna look good though, sigh…
It happens that I only have approximately $2000 left in my bank account, and a few hundreds yet to be spent for my credit card.
Here is the calculation:
$2000 (bank) – $300 (credit card) – $600 (windshield and necessary maintenance) – $1700 (air ticket) – $200 (November house rental)
= -$800
WTF?! It turns out to be negative!!!
I still remember what I told my mom at the very beginning of my internship.
“lao ma, after this internship I will have enough money to cover my final semester’s tuition fee, you and dad need not send me money anymore.”
Where the hell is my money gone?
What I’ve got at the moment is far less than the amount needed for tuition fee (10k).
This is seriously a major deficit.
I guess I have pretty good sense of time management, but not money management.
It is already proven.
I think I will buy the air ticket two weeks later, after I get pay for two weeks of work.
To all the people out there, stop saying I am RICH!!!
Sentences that I hate the most to hear at this time:
“If you don’t have money, then what about me?”
“I thought you are very rich?”
“Don’t pretend you don’t have money.”
“Where the heck is your money?”
By the way, I am saying goodbye to Chicago.
